Hello world

If at first you don’t publish, try try again.

I’ve redone my site a couple of times in the past few years, but I’ve never actually had the guts to push it live. If you’re reading this, it means I got through a full redesign, liked the redesign for more than two weeks, and actually pushed the big red 𝘿𝙀𝙋𝙇𝙊𝙔 button!

Here’s how the cycle usually goes:

  • Have a ‘good’ idea. “This is brilliant! So elegant! So streamlined!”
  • Half-build the idea in a few weeks. Be very happy with the initial results.
  • Get too involved in the details. Over-engineer, iterate, repeat.
  • Become disillusioned, ditch the idea, ditch the project.

But I did it! I built something! And with this blog post, I wrote something! Do I know that these very words will make me severely cringe in two months? Yes.

This is my first blog post, mostly just to test whether my blog posts are working. I plan to write about tech I’m interested in, things I’m learning, or maybe the occasional rant over how things used to be.

Hopefully I’ll find more things to write about in the future. Cheers to the future cringe 🎉
